Bye Bye Bookmarks
The bookmarks bar in safari/firefox is fine, but half the time I can’t even find what I’m looking for. I also forget to rename the bookmarks and don’t purge or re-organize enough. So, yesterday I decided that I’d simply build a “home page” for safari or firefox to go to each time I launch my browser.
This is super-easy to do… especially if you already have a website that’s easy to publish to. I built and update my site with iWeb, so that’s what I use, but I know there are tons of options out there. Take a look. Below I’ll give you the quick 1.2.3 of how to create your own customized homepage.

1. Go to a site you ♡.
2. SHIFT + APPL + 4. Now drag those cross hairs across a section of the window that you want to capture with a screen shot (see the graphics above)
3. Before you leave the page APPL + C the browser’s address bar… or you can always go back to it.
4. Create a web page… Organize the graphics you clipped… Link them to the page they represent… and publish that page.
5. Open Safari (or Firefox) and set the homepage (in Preferences) to that rad little page you just created.
