We Are Nashville [or Franklin in the case of these photos]
The post-flood love is still pouring down… at least as much as those rains did. The “thirst-mobile” came through our neighborhood today giving away cold drinks. My father-in-law, Joe, is working 12 hour days with Hard Bargain Mt. Hope Redevelopment organizing volunteers, pumping water out of basements, and getting houses cleaned up. Most folks just seem extra friendly these last few days. Maybe Nashvillians (and Franklinites) have a renewed sense of what really matters… a fresh thankfulness for their house or their family or simply, to be alive. Hopefully the helping hands, the sense of brotherhood and all the good vibes will outlast even the clean-up efforts.
Here’s a preview of what is going to be a show - probably at Starbucks (5 points in Franklin). The images were captured between 5:45 and 7AM on Monday Morning - when the rains finally subsided and the sun came out. Proceeds from print sales will benefit Hard Bargain Mt. Hope Redevelopment. Stay tuned for more details.
