Crazy Fireworks Photos from Franklin’s 4th of July Show
It’s not a 500 ft. daddy long leg spider from Mars… it’s a big firecracker. It’s not a flamin’ carnival wheel spinning off its hinges… it’s a big firecracker. It’s not that massive organ-equipped UFO from Close Encounters… it’s a big firecracker.
I’m no pro at shooting fireworks displays so I decided last night that I would sit in the graveyard around the corner from my home and attempt some special effect photography… not that long exposures of fireworks aren’t already special.
Most of these shots are at f16 to f22 and are 15-25 second in length. The weirdness comes as a result of manually zooming the lens during the exposure. I was shooting with a 17-85mm lens, so that’s the range that you see. Enjoy!
